By the end of this article, you will:

1. Know how to register your new PortalSIX user account so that you can login to the PortalSIX user app
   

Before you can login to the PortalSIX user app for the first time, you need to register your new user account. Essentially, this involves setting a new password for your account and confirming that you can receive a 6-digit code (used for additional authentication) on your phone, via text, and at the email address associated with your user account (your associated email address is also your username).

When logging into the PortalSIX user app, you will choose which of these two locations you wish to receive the code at and this step in the registration process confirms that both methods are working correctly.

To register your new PortalSIX user account

When your user account was created, a New User Welcome Email was sent to the email address associated with your user account. You will need this email to register. If you did not receive it, or you're unable to locate the email, please contact a PortalSIX administrator for your organization for assistance.

1. The website address that you'll need to visit to complete the registration process
2. Your username (which is your email address)
   
3. A one-time password (OTP) that you'll use to sign in for the first time
   

To register:

1. Navigate to the new user registration URL included in the Welcome Email.
2. Enter your username (the email address associated with your user account) and the one-time password (OTP) from the email. Click Continue.
   
1. If you did not receive the email, or if you need a new OTP sent, click on Resend OTP on this page and a new Welcome Email will be sent to you.
3. Locate the code sent to the email address associated with your user account. Enter the code where designated. Click Continue.
   
1. If you did not receive a code, or if the code expires, click on Didn't receive the code? Resend and a new code will be emailed to you.
4. Locate the code sent to your phone via text. Enter the code where designated. Click Continue.
   
1. If you did not receive a code, or if the code expires, click on Didn't receive the code? Resend and a new code will be sent to you.
5. Enter and confirm a new password for your account. Click Continue.
   
1. Note: if your chosen password does not meet the complexity requirements, you will be unable to continue.

When you have successfully completed these steps, your new user account registration is complete and you will be able to login to the user app.
