FAQ: What is a SIX?

A SIX is like a folder that you use to organize files, but more.
When you add files to a SIX, you're sharing those files with other users that are specifically designated as participants in that SIX, and only with those participants. Files in a SIX are cryptographically protected from access by anyone else, including us at SIX3RO.

In PortalSIX, "SIX" stands for secure information exchange. Any internal user on an account can create a SIX and select participants in that SIX (i.e., those authorized to see the SIX and access files within it). Every SIX has at least one participant selected as the SIX's "Owner," who can manage (add or remove) participants and who can delete the SIX. A SIX can have more than one owner (there is no upper limit to the number of owners on a SIX), and the person creating the SIX does not have to be selected as an owner.
